The West Virginia Pharmacists Association is a statewide professional organization that advocates for the interests of licensed pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists. Founded in the late 1890s, our mission is to promote and ensure the public's health and wellness by enhancing our members’ professional skills and knowledge and advocating for appropriate pharmaceutical care for our citizens.
WVPA is a leader in advancing legislative and governmental issues that impact the pharmacy profession. The association has initiated significant progress in reforming the WV Pharmacy Practice Act and ensuring that WV pharmacists can practice at the top of their license. Through strong advocacy efforts, WVPA continues to fight for provider status, expanded scope of practice, and fair reimbursement models that recognize pharmacists as essential healthcare providers. WVPA also actively represents pharmacy issues before state agencies.
