Pharmacists are invited to attend the West Virginia Pharmacists Association’s 113th Annual Convention, scheduled for November 8, 2020, from 12:00 Noon to 4:30 p.m., and November 15, from 12:00 Noon to 5:30 p.m.
The featured speaker on November 8 is Dr. Clay Marsh, Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences at West Virginia University. Of special interest is update of COVID-19.
Also scheduled for November 8 is a three-hour drug diversion course, required of pharmacists for licensure. Pharmacy technicians can also earn credit for this CE course.
Also scheduled for November 8 is election of WVPA officers and directors. These include President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Institutional Pharmacy Director, Community Pharmacy Director, Employed Pharmacy Director, and two Directors at Large.
Pharmacists desiring to be elected to any of the above office are to submit their nomination by October 23 to WVPA, 2016 1/2 Kanawha Blvd., East, Charleston, WV 25311. Scheduled for Sunday, November 15, beginning at 12:00 p.m. are continuing education courses on immunization requirements (two-hours), precepting and law.
