As has been tradition for several years, the West Virginia Pharmacists Association honors members each year for their professional and community accomplishments and services by bestowing awards as each Annual Convention.
Awards open for nomination for the 110th Annual Convention, September 23 and 24, 2017, at the Charleston Marriott Hotel include:
Dr. James H. Beale Award, WVPA’s most prestigious award for meritorious services in furthering the interests of the profession in West Virginia;
Bowl of Hygeia Award, in recognition of outstanding community services which reflect well on the profession of pharmacy;
Excellence in Innovation Award, in recognition of innovative pharmacy practice which resulted in improved patient care;
Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award, in recognition of active participation in national pharmacy organizations, professional programs, state associaiton activities and community services; and
Generation Rx Champion’s Award, in recognition of efforts to prevent drug abuse and diversion.
Nominations for the above awards are to be submitted to WVPA by August 18.
