A recent survey of pharmacists using the “Simplify My Meds” program documented how both patients and pharmacists benefit from medication synchronization programs, or “Med Sync.” The survey was taken nationwide.
Respondents overwhelmingly noted that med sync has increased efficiency in their pharmacy and balanced their work flow. Pharmacists responding to the survey said patients are satisfied because the program means fewer visits to the pharmacy each month, an opportunity to discuss their medications with their pharmacist, and more certainty in their refill process.
WVPA Past President Jason M. Turner, PharmD, shared his experience with the med sync program to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at the 108th Annual Convention in October at Stonewall Resort. Turner owns Moundsville Pharmacy in Moundsville, WV.
